England rewrote the history books on Tuesday night with two second-half goals to beat Germany and progress to the EURO2020 quarterfinals.
Goals from Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane ended Germany’s dominance for nearly 55 years.
Thomas Müller missed an opportunity to draw level with only Jordan Pickford to beat.
That miss was to haunt the Germans when Kane latched onto a wonderful Jack Grealish cross to score with an angled header.
Grealish came on for Bukayo Saka with about 20 minutes to go.
Saka had played his part defending with discipline and going forward whenever possible.
Fan favourite Grealish injected much excitement and had the stadium roaring each time he touched the ball.
