Virus Lands Journo Karyn Maughan In Hospital

Top legal journalist Karyn Maughan, who has had the jab, on Friday revealed she has tested positive for Covid-19 and was in hospital.

The News24 journo tweeted: “I have tested positive for Covid 19. Hope that the vaccine will protect me from the worst of this. Am in hospital. Please pray for me”.

South Africa is in the throes of the third wave, driven by the deadly Delta variant.

The National Institute for Communicable Diseases on Thursday said in the last 24 hours there were 14 858 new Covid-19 cases and 433 deaths.

I have tested positive for Covid 19.
Hope that the vaccine will protect me from the worst of this.
Am in hospital.
Please pray for me.
