Metrorail Gauteng has announced the resumption of the weekday train service between Pretoria and Saulsville from Tuesday, 16 November 2021.

The trains will stop at Saulsville, Atteridgeville, Kalafong, Cor Delfos and Pretoria Stations.

However, Metrorail said the train service will not be provided on weekends.

“In the morning, the first train is scheduled to depart from Saulsville Station at 04:40 and the last at 08:10 en route to Pretoria,” said a statement issued by Tony Games, Gauteng Metrorail acting spokesperson.

“In the afternoon, the first train will depart from Pretoria Station at 15:15 and the last at 18:45 en route to Saulsville.

“Commuters are therefore reminded that only single and return tickets will be sold at the stations and are advised to arrive early to purchase their valid tickets before boarding.”

The train service on the Saulsville line was suspended on 15 October 2021, to allow for electrification repairs to be undertaken at the Pretoria Station complex as part of the Mabopane Service Recovery Programme.

“In line with Covid-19 health regulations, no commuter will be allowed to enter a station or board the train without a mask covering both their nose and mouth,” said the statement.
