Former Mamelodi Sundowns Defender Ricardo Nascimento has joined Royal AM after leaving Sundowns in January.
Coached by John Maduka, the KwaZulu-Natal team has let in 17 goals in as many games and the signing of the experienced 35-year-old Brazilian shows Royal AM is determined to plug the leaks at the back.
Royal AM owned by flamboyant Durban businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize lies in the seventh position on the DSTV log.
“I’m trying to make sure the team Royal AM is strengthened,” said Mkhize when she unveiled the new signing on Thursday.
