Onlookers watched in horror and trepidation – perhaps fearing the worst after a laden minibus taxi rolled Thursday morning during rush-hour traffic.
No one could say how their taxi rolled along Bram Fischer Road, in Randburg, early Thursday morning.
Some of the shaken passengers managed to get out of the taxi without help.
When paramedics arrived, several passengers were still entrapped in the wreckage.
Emer-G-Med said incident commanders established an on-scene triage area.
“The Jaws-of-life were needed to cut them free whilst advanced life support paramedics worked to stabilise the injuries,” said Emer-G-Med.
“The injured were taken by various ambulances to nearby receiving medical facilities for further care.”
Police were on the scene. They were diverting traffic to other roads because the road was completely blocked.
