For the third time in a row South Africa’s most decorated coach Pitso Mosimane has taken Egyptian giants Al Ahly to the CAF Champions League final.
The defending champions held ES Setif in Algiers to a 2-2 draw on Saturday to win the two-legged tie 6-2 on aggregate.
Ahmed Abdel Kader 2′ and Mohamed Sherif 90+2′ scored for the Egyptians.
Ahmed Kendouci 45′ and Riad Benayad 61′ were on target for the home side, ES Setif.
Although Al Ahly’s South African forward Percy Tau didn’t score, he played his part as a provider.
Tau scored two goals in Al Ahly’s 4-0 home win.
In the final, at the end of the month, 30 May, Mosimane’s Al Ahly will face Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca in Morocco.
