In the age of the Metaverse and with such education start-ups as Multiverse; is the university still a relevant institution?
Is it, in fact, obsolete and moribund?
In the 4IR, the dictum now is:
“Show Me What You Can Do” and NOT “Show Me Your Degree Certificate”
Digital Skills, Competencies and Capabilities are now more important than a University Degree.
How many universities are producing Metaverse jobs such as (1) Meta Software Engineer (2) Discord Manager and (3) Meta Smart Contract Lawyer?
