Ukhozi FM has dumped long-time gospel presenter Sibusiso “Sbu” Buthelezi over his business dealings, which the radio station said, “brought the organisation into disrepute”.
The popular SABC radio station – with a listener-ship in constant access of 7.9 million – said management this week terminated Buthelezi’s contract “with immediate effect”.
In a statement earlier this week on Tuesday, the SABC said the decision to part ways with Buthelezi “follows several allegations” relating to his “business dealings that brought the orgnaisation into disrepute”.
Ukhozi FM Management said it “wishes to confirm that the station does not in any way have a relationship with Mr. Buthelezi’s private company Abombuso Investment”.
