Busi Lurayi, the lead actress in the Netflix hit movie How To Ruin Christmas has died, her family announced.

“We are deeply saddened to notify you of the passing of our beloved Busisiwe Lurayi,” the family said in a statement released on Monday.

The 35-year-old former Ses’top la television sitcom star played the role of Tumi in How To Ruin Christmas.

“Busisiwe passed away suddenly and was pronounced dead at her residence on Sunday by medical personnel,” the statement said.

“The reason for her death is still unknown as we await the result of the autopsy report.

“We humbly request that you allow us as the family to come to terms with this tragic news.”
