A South African National Defence Force (SANDF) member has suffered head injuries after falling while partaking in preparatory aerobics for the Africa Aerospace and Defence 2022.
Commenting on the incident, the SANDF said it, “confirms an incident in which one of our members was injured during a practice demonstration at Air Force Base Waterkloof on Thursday, 22 September 2022”.
The SANDF terse statement added: “The member fell onto the ground during a coordinated practice as they were partaking in preparatory aerobics for the Africa Aerospace and Defence 2022, and sustained head injuries.
“‘The member was immediately airlifted to Montana Hospital for assessment by neurologists.
“Details regarding this incident are still sketchy, and members of the media will be updated once all circumstances surrounding an incident have been established.”
