The body of a missing GaRankuwa school principal has been found.

The alarm was sounded on Sunday after school principal, Moses Kadiege’s car was found abandoned in a bush, in the Moiletswane area, north of Pretoria.

Kadiege, his cellphones, and laptop were reported missing.

Subsequently, the family of the principal of Setlalentoa Secondary School in Zone 5, Garankuwa, issued a passionate appeal for help to find him.

On Monday morning, The Bulrushes was reliably informed that the body of the principal had been found.

“The police are investigating a case of murder after a body of a man was discovered at Winterveld in a bushy area, next to the road on 25 September 2022,” said Colonel Dimakatso Sello.

“The motive of the murder is unknown at this stage and police in Loate will continue with investigations.”

The SA Police Service said anyone with information that can assist with the investigations, is requested to contact the Crime Stop Line 08600 10111 or report tip-offs on MySaps App which can be downloaded on any smartphone.

All information received will be treated with strictest confidence.

Meanwhile, the Foundation for Education and Social Justice Africa has condemned “the burial murder of a school principal”.

Hendrick Makaneta, Education activist and Deputy Chairperson Foundation for Education and Social Justice Africa said: “We urge law enforcement agencies to work around the clock and bring perpetrators to book and to ensure that the perpetrators are put behind bars for life”.

Makaneta added: “The Communities which were impacted by the late principal will be traumatised for many decades to come. Principal Kadiege did not deserve to be slain.

“He was a beacon of hope to hundreds of thousands of learners. We owe it to humanity to ensure that Kadiege gets justice as soon as possible.”
