Johannesburg – Eskom will implement Stage 4 load-shedding Sunday evening at 17h00.

“Stage 4 load-shedding will be implemented from 17:00 this afternoon until 16:00 on Monday,” Eskom said in a power alert.

“Various stages of load-shedding will be implemented during the week.”

The power utility said since Sunday morning Arnot, Grootvlei, and Majuba power stations each took a generating unit offline for repairs.

However, a generation unit at Kriel Power Station was returned to service.

“We currently have 5 354MW on planned maintenance, while another 14 495 MW of capacity is unavailable due to breakdowns,” Eskom said.
