Pretoria – A man’s body has been retrieved from the wreck of a crashed car along the R21 southbound after the N1 interchange in Pretoria East.

First responders found that the late model vehicle had crashed into the back of a truck with two other people inside.

The roof of the white car was partially sheared off in the horror crash.

Emer-G-Med said when paramedics arrived, Monday at about 10h00, at the crash scene they found the dead man in the front passenger seat.

“A male approximately 20 years old, was found in the front passenger seat with fatal injuries and was declared dead on arrival of paramedics,” said Emer-G-Med.

“The driver, a female aged approximately 40 years old, sustained critical injuries and was stabilised on scene.

“A teenage boy was found in the back seat with minor injuries only.”

Emer-G-Med said the injured were treated and stabilised on the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital.
