Johannesburg – ITWeb Africa has appointed veteran business journalist Samuel Mungadze as its new editor.
Speaking to The Bulrushes about his appointment, Mungadze said: “I am pleased to announce my appointment as the new Editor at ITWeb Africa, effective Wednesday, 1 March 2023.
The new ITWeb Africa editor added: “I have been entrusted with the responsibility of driving our strategic intentions into Africa.
“It’s not going to be an easy task, but I will do my best to carry the brand across the continent we deeply care for.”
Mungadze also thanked “everyone that has been part of my journey”.
He said his career rise wouldn’t have been possible without “your support”.
Mungadze said he “was very excited” to start this new journey.
“Let’s connect and collaborate as we aim to develop a strong tech ecosystem in Africa”.
Mungadze has extensive experience in covering business and technology as well as producing premium content for top African publications.
He covered various topics including; Broadband, Emerging technologies, startups, 5G, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, telecoms, and cloud computing.
Mungadze’s writing has also followed the heartbeat of the telecoms industry.
Before joining ITWeb Africa, Mungadze worked for I-Net Bridge, Business Day, ITNewsAfrica, SABC-Africa, and The African Bulletin.
