Midrand – One of the two men that were shot multiple times on Saturday along the N1, near the New Road Bridge, has died.
Emer-G-Med said paramedics attended the scene of the shooting where they found two males with multiple gunshot wounds.
“A 28-year-old male was found to have sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on arrival of paramedics whilst a second man, aged approximately 50 was found in critical condition,” said Emer-G-Med.
“Emergency care practitioners worked fervently to stabilise him before he was transported rapidly by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further care.
“The facts surrounding the incident and the events preceding it are unclear and will form the subject of a South African Police Service investigation.”
