Durban – One of the three people ejected after their bakkie rolled along the R61 in Three Hills on the South Coast, KwaZulu-Natal, has died.
Netcare 911 said the incident occurred Saturday at 23:33.
“Reports indicate that the driver of a bakkie with two other passengers lost control, resulting in a rollover, ejecting all three occupants in the process,” said Netcare 911 Spokesperson Shawn Herbst.
“On arrival medics found three adult males with serious traumatic injuries.
“On scene with Netcare 911 was Med-Evac Ambulance Services, Fire and Rescue Services, SAPS, Traffic police and government ems.”
All three patients were treated on scene by advanced life support paramedics.
“Sadly, the condition of one of the patients had rapidly deteriorated and despite a full resuscitation, the man had passed away on scene,” said Herbst
“The other two patients were stabilised on scene and transported to hospital for further care.”
