Durban – One person has been shot and wounded in a cash-in-transit (CIT) robbery on Meranti Street in Mobeni.
ALS Paramedics Medical Services attended to the shooting incident just after 6 am on Wednesday.
On arrival paramedics found that a male believed to be in his forties had sustained a serious gunshot wound to his arm.
The wounded man was thought to be the driver of the CIT van.
“He was stabilised on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics before being rushed through to a nearby Durban hospital for the further treatment that he required,” said ALS Paramedics.
Police were on the scene.
