Johannesburg – Police have arrested seven suspects in connection with the murder of veteran journalist Jeremy Gordin.
The retired scribe was found dead in his Parktown home at the end of last month, (31 March 2023). At the time the police said Gordin’s car and television were missing.
On Thursday, the police said one of the suspects was caught driving Gordin’s car.
“The first suspect was arrested on Wednesday, (12 April 2023), while driving the deceased’s stolen motor vehicle in Auckland Park,” the police said.
“Further investigations led to the arrest of six more suspects later during that day.”
The arrested suspects are all foreign nationals, police said.
They will soon appear before Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on multiple charges including murder, house robbery, possession of stolen property, and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
