Durban – A man in his 40s has been found dead inside his bullet-riddled car that had come to a halt on its side along the M7.

ALS Paramedics Medical Services said paramedics attended to the shooting scene on Thursday morning, just before 10 am.

“It is believed that a single vehicle was involved in a shooting incident before overturning across the centre island and coming to rest on its side,” said ALS Paramedics.

“A male believed to be in his 40s was found inside the vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

“He was assessed by paramedics however he had sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing more Paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased on the scene.”

The name of the dead man has not yet been disclosed.

SA Police Service officers were on the scene, but no arrests have been reported.
