Johannesburg – Amapiano producer and club DJ, Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe – better known as “DJ Maphorisa” – was arrested on Sunday, (7 May 2023) afternoon for allegedly beating up his girlfriend Thuli Phongolo.

The police arrested the popular DJ after Phongolo laid a complaint of assault at the Sandton Police Station.

Maphorisa will appear in the Randburg Magistrate court today, (Monday 8 May 2023).
