Johannesburg – Concerns for the wellbeing of popular Kaya FM breakfast host Dineo Ranaka were heightened Wednesday with the radio station announcing a stand-in line-up.
Dineo hosts 959 Breakfast with Sol Phenduka.
On Tuesday, Dineo took to social media to express worrying thoughts of suicide.
Kaya FM has since reached out to the troubled host.
MD Colleen Louw said: The Kaya 959 family is keeping Dineo in their hearts, and we wish her healing. We also ask for privacy as Dineo gets through this difficult time.
Fans have also expressed concern for her wellbeing.
Alarm bells sounded after the usually bubbly presenter shared her troubles on social media saying: I COMPLETELY understand souls/spirits/people that commit suicide. I get it. I get them.
In another post, Ranaka wrote: Because Im trying my best to NOT commit suicide. My mind is soooooo loud of late and life is f..king HARD (add a crying emoji) so f..king hard (crying emoji) and Im trying my best but it seems my best is not enough.
My children God, Abantwana bami.
