Trichardt – Police have opened a murder investigation after a woman’s body was found near Langsloot farm in Zwaksfontein.
The body was discovered by the owner of the Langsloot farm, located near Trichardt, outside Secunda, on Sunday.
The unidentified deceased was aged between 20 and 35.
Mpumalanga police spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said the dead woman was of light complexion and was about 1.4 metres tall.
She was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a floral blouse.
The motive for the murder was still unknown and under probe.
“The victim sustained some multiple head, stomach, and hands injuries. The blood around her body was already dry, suggesting that the victim might have been dumped there for some time,” Brigadier Mohlala said.
“A few metres away from where the victim’s body was lying, a pair of shoes, a soft drink, and blood were found.”
