Johannesburg – A massive hailstorm in Carlswald in Midrand has left a trail of damage that included many cars with shattered windscreens.
Witnesses said they saw hail stones the size of golf balls rain down on vehicles Monday night.
The storm damaged cars, outbuildings, houses, and carports.
Emergency services have not reported any injuries.
Posts on social media showed the extent of the damage caused.
The SA Weather Service predicted that for today, Tuesday, partly cloudy conditions were expected.
