Durban – Residents of a block of flats in Cator Manor were shocked Wednesday morning when a truck crashed through a downstairs apartment.
First responders, ALS Paramedics, said the driver was trapped inside the truck and efforts to extricate him were underway.
One occupant suffered moderate injuries and was being treated on the scene.
“After approximately an hour later, the patient was cut free from the wreckage using the Jaws of Life,” said ALS Paramedics.
“He was carefully removed from the truck before being transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required.”
ALS Paramedics said the occupant, who had sustained moderate injuries, was stabilised on scene before being transported to a nearby hospital.
