UNTIMELY PASSING: Limpopo Hawks spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Matimba Maluleke died on Friday after a short illness

Polokwane – Limpopo Hawks spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Matimba Maluleke has passed away after a short illness.

In a terse statement at the weekend, the Provincial Head of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks), Major General (Adv) Gopz Govender, announced the untimely passing of Lieutenant Colonel  Maluleke. 

“He passed on Friday, (8 March 2024), in hospital after a short illness,” said Major General Govender.

“Lieutenant Colonel Maluleke was a loyal, disciplined, and energetic communication officer who was dedicated to his job. 

“He had a very good working relationship with his colleagues, managers, and all stakeholders.”

Major General Govender said the family of Lieutenant Colonel Maluleke “would like the privacy at this difficult time”.

Funeral arrangements will be announced.
