Manzini – The extradition matter of two South African brothers, Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande, accused of partaking in the murder of rapper AKA and celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane was adjourned on Wednesday to a later date.
The matter was heard in the Manzini Magistrate’s Court in Eswatini a day after the South African Justice and Correctional Services Minister Ronald Lamola announced that he had approved and transmitted a request for the extradition of the brothers.
On Wednesday, State Prosecutor Macebo Nxumalo confirmed that an extradition request had been made, however, he requested more time to study the papers submitted by the South African Department of Justice.
Magistrate David Khumalo concurred with the prosecutor and adjourned the matter to next month, on 9 April 2024.
Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande were remanded in custody until their next appearance.
In South Africa, the other five murder accused also remain behind bars.
Popular rapper AKA, whose real name was Kiernan Forbes, and his close friend “Tibz” were gunned down outside a restaurant in Durban a year ago.
All the suspects were recently arrested.
