Pienaar – The burnt body of a female teenager has been found in a secluded mountainous area between Pienaar and KaNyamazane, near Mbombela in Mpumalanga.

Mpumalanga police spokesperson Captain Magonseni Nkosi said: “The burnt body of a teenage female was found in Pienaar at night at about 18:00”.

The body of the unidentified teenager was discovered by a passerby on Wednesday night.

“The female, who is not yet identified, was found in the mountainous area between Pienaar and Kanyamazane,” said Captain Nkosi.

“According to information, the lifeless body was seen by a passersby.

“Police and medical practitioners were summoned to the scene. She was declared dead on the scene by medical personnel.”

He said the police were hard at work in bringing the assailants to book.

“Police have since assembled the team of investigators to do their best in getting the perpetrators in both incidents behind bars,” Nkosi said.

The matter was also condemned by the acting police provincial commissioner Major General Zeph Mkhwanazi.

“We will do our best to get the perpetrators, and we hope justice will be served for the two victims,” Major General Mkhwanazi said.
