Johannesburg – Preacher, entrepreneur, TV and radio presenter, Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule, has succumbed to cancer.
Her husband Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule announced her passing on social media saying: “It is with a heavy heart that we the Nkambule and Mbokazi family announce the passing of our dearly beloved Ms Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule, founder of Crown Gospel Music Awards & Ukhozi radio personality.
“She departed to be with the Lord in the early hours of 12 August 2024 at Parklands Hospital.
“We are grateful for all the prayers, love, and support we received throughout her illness.
“The family would appreciate privacy as we navigate through this challenging time.”
Earlier this year in April Mbokazi-Nkambule struggled to finish a show owing to health issues.
The following month, in May, she was diagnosed with lung cancer.
Mbokazi-Nkambule was 52 years old when she died.
