Two people were injured- one critically - when a bakkie crashed into a fast-food outlet along Rajmahal Road in Merebank, Durban

Durban – Two people were left injured – one critically – after a vehicle smashed into a fast-food outlet along Rajmahal Road in Merebank.

ALS Paramedics said the incident occurred Tuesday afternoon, at around 3:30 pm.

When paramedics arrived on the scene they found a woman with critical injuries entrapped under the bakkie.

One other person had also been injured.

“The lady believed to be in her 30s was stabilised on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics before being rushed to Ahmed Al Khadi Private Hospital for the urgent care that she required,” said ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson.

“The second victim a male had sustained moderate injuries and was also transported to a nearby Hospital by ambulance.

“At this stage the events leading up to the crash were unknown.”

SA Police Service officers were on the scene.
