Pretoria – Payment service at all the Magistrates Courts in the country will be temporarily suspended later today to allow system upgrades.

The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development announced in a terse statement: “The provision of payment service at all the Magistrates Courts in the country will be temporarily suspended with effect from 13:30 on Friday, (1 November 2024)”.

The statement added: “The suspension is occasioned by the upgrading of the system which is utilised to make payments.

“The payment service will only resume on Monday, (4 November 2024).

“The Department apologises for any inconvenience which would be suffered during the period of system upgrade and reiterates its commitment to bring access to justice services.”
