Pretoria – The City of Tshwane has opened more sites to accommodate the high volume of customers rushing to upgrade their prepaid meter software before the deadline.
The current prepaid meter software, known as Standard Transfer Specification (STS1), expires on Sunday, (24 November 2024).
“Therefore, the meter software must be upgraded from STS 1 to STS 2 in order for the prepaid meter system to continue to function beyond 24 November 2024,” the City of Tshwane said.
“Residents can now visit the following areas for assistance with prepaid meter software upgrades, from today Friday, 22 November 2024 until Sunday, (24 November 2024).”

“These municipal offices, which will operate from 08H00 until 17H00 on the three days, will also assist customers with account inquiries, payment arrangements, and account settlements,” the City of Tshwane said.
