Durban – A man has died after crashing his car along the M1 West Bound near unit 3 offramp in Chatsworth, South of Durban.

ALS Paramedics responded to the crash just after 16:30 on Friday, (20 December 2024), Spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said.

“Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a single vehicle had somehow lost control and left the roadway,” said Jamieson.

“Paramedics found the driver and only occupant of the vehicle inside his vehicle with fatal injuries.

“Unfortunately, there was nothing paramedics could do for the man believed to be in his thirties and he was declared deceased on the scene.”

Jamieson said at this stage the events leading up to the crash were unknown.

The South African Police Service was in attendance.
