Johannesburg – There appears to be no end of “trouble in paradise” for King Misuzulu kaZwelithini who has called off his planned wedding to Nomzamo Myeni.

Unhappy with the polygamous ambitions of the Zulu King, Queen Ntokozo kaMayisela Zulu has indicated her intentions to seek an urgent court interdict to stop her husband from wedding Nomzamo Myeni.

Over the weekend a letter written by the king, which made rounds on social media, instructed the premier’s office to stop the traditional wedding that had been planned for later this week.

The King even withdrew Myeni’s privileges including security.

However, the aggrieved queen is still going ahead with her urgent interdict application at the High Court in Pietermaritzburg.

SABC reports that the urgent interdict to stop the wedding of the King to Nomzamo Myeni is going ahead despite the wedding being called off.

In court papers, Queen KaMayisela says that she is married to the King in a civil union.

She also argues that the King would have committed bigamy had the wedding gone ahead.

At the weekend, King MisiZulu, whose ascension to the thrown is still being legally disputed by his brother, fired his spokesperson – Prince Simphiwe Zulu.

Traditional Prime Minister Thulasizwe Buthelezi was also fired by the King in the ongoing disharmony prevailing at the royal household.
