Durban: Robbers Break Into Glenwood Home, Attack Woman In Her 70s, Police Probe Incident

Durban – Callous thieves broke into a residence on Evans Road in Glenwood, Durban, and assaulted a woman in her 70s before making off with their loot.

Paramedics were called to attend to the injured woman on Monday morning, (24 February 2025).

“Just after 10:30 this morning ALS Paramedics responded to an alleged robbery at a residence in Evans Road in Glenwood Durban,” said spokesperson Garrith Jamieson.

“Paramedics arrived on the scene to find security personnel already in attendance and were shown into a house where they found a female in her 70s injured.

“Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilise the lady who had sustained serious injuries during an alleged robbery at her home before transporting her to a nearby hospital for the further care that she required.”

Police officers from Umbilo were in attendance and will be investigating further.
