Durban – A man has been fatally shot along Nordale Road in Newlands West, North of Durban.

Reporting from the scene, ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said: “Just after 6 pm on Tuesday, ALS Paramedics responded to numerous calls of a shooting incident”.

Jamieson said paramedics arrived on the scene to find multiple emergency personnel in attendance and were shown to a vehicle in the roadway.

“They found a male patient believed to be in his 30s had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body,” said Jamieson.

“Paramedics assessed him; however, he had sustained fatal injuries, and there was nothing paramedics could do, and he was declared dead on the scene.”

SA Police Service officers were on the scene.

Jamieson said the scene was cordoned off.
