Cape Town – The property market in Cape Town continues its upward trajectory with the launch of Mont Reve, a new mixed-use development in Sea Point that generated over R500 million in sales within just 24 hours.

In a statement made available to The Bulrushes, Launchbase said: “Of the 94 apartments released at the online sales launch on 26 March 2025, as many as 89 were sold on day one, with the highest-priced unit sold valued at R23.995 million.

“The project, developed by the Berman Brothers Group and exclusively marketed through Launchbase, reflects strong investor appetite and growing confidence in the city’s long-term growth trajectory.”

Situated on the iconic Regent Road site previously occupied by Sea Point’s Primi Piatti, Mont Reve combines luxury residential units, a boutique hotel, and activated retail – breathing new life into one of Cape Town’s most desirable urban corridors.

“Mont Reve is more than a successful launch – it’s proof that thoughtfully planned developments can lift an entire precinct,” said Dean Lederle, Co-Founder of Launchbase.

“Not only will it create employment in the construction sector, it’ll also bring new energy to a much-loved part of the suburb.”

Mont Reve launched just days ahead of Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis’s announcement of a R39.7 billion infrastructure investment over the next three years, which aims to create close to 130 000+ construction-related jobs.

Mont Reve supports this momentum by reactivating underutilised spaces for the City’s broader urban renewal.

Notably, 82% of the buyers at Mont Reve were South African, challenging the often-cited narrative that Cape Town’s prime property market is dominated by foreign investors.

The data reveals that local demand for well-positioned, future-forward urban homes remains high, especially when paired with strong long-term fundamentals.

The results also spotlight the growing power of digital property sales platforms in streamlining the buyer journey. Launchbase, the marketing and proptech partner behind the campaign, used its proprietary Blueprint software to drive demand, guide buyers, and close deals at scale.

“Through our collaboration with the Berman Brothers Group, we’re gaining deep insight into what drives demand in the luxury segment,” added Lederle.

“By applying those insights through our tech stack, we’re helping developers respond faster, unlock value sooner, and ultimately support the City’s economic goals.”

Located at 89 Regent Road, Mont Reve features 94 luxury apartments, a boutique hotel, ground-floor retail, and direct access to Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard lifestyle.

The development is spearheaded by the Berman Brothers Group, known for transformative precincts such as Station House and Dolce Vita.

Sales and digital campaign management were led by Launchbase, a leading South African proptech company that has now facilitated over R5.3 billion in online property sales since 2024.
