N3 Horror Crash: Minibus Taxi And Haulage Truck Collision Leaves 4 Dead

Durban – Four people have died in a collision between a minibus taxi and a haulage truck along the N3, near the Bergville Interchange.

KwaZulu-Natal Transport and Human Settlements MEC Siboniso Duma said the deadly collision occurred in the morning on Saturday, 23 August 2025.

“Four people have died in this horrific crash involving a truck and a minibus taxi near Bergville Interchange,” said MEC Duma.

“We request motorists traveling towards Gauteng to approach the area with caution as emergency personnel, South African Police Service, and RTI are currently on the scene of the accident.

“We express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims.  

“I have assigned a team from the department to locate the families of the victims whose lives have been altered by this tragedy.”
