The Zion Christian Church (ZCC) has distanced itself from Nokuthula Skhosana, saying her messages on social media “do not reflect the values, beliefs, or official communication of our church”.
In a statement made available to The Burushes on Sunday, 24 August 2025, the church said: “The leadership of the Zion Christian Church wishes to formally distance itself from recent utterances made by an individual falsely presenting herself as a prophet and delivering messages purported to be prophetic and sent by The Spiritual Leader of the Church, His Grace The Right Reverend Bishop Doctor B.E. Lekganyane via various sicial media prlatformrs.”
The statement attributed to Moatshe Ngoepe, the spokesperson for the church, said these actions were deeply regrettable and have caused confusion and concern among members of this church and the general public, bringing the name of the ZCC into disrepute.
“We wish to make it unequivocally clear that this individual, who is calling herself Nokuthula Skhosana, wearing a ZCC badge, is not yet verified, neither affiliated with or endorsed by the church in any capacity.
“Her messages and online presence do not reflect the values, beliefs, or official communication of our church.”
The statement added that the ZCC does not utilise any media or digital platforms to conduct, disseminate, or render its services.
“Our spiritual guidance and outreach efforts are rooted in direct, personal engagement, consistent with our traditions and doctrine,” the statement added.
