Waterberg – The African National Congress (ANC) in Waterberg has elected its new Top Five for the region in Limpopo.
The ANC Waterberg Region has announced a new leadership team, “elected through a democratic process.”
The ANC officials elected at the weekend Waterberg Region Conference were named as:
- Chairperson: Moloko Jack Maeko (191 votes)
- Deputy Chairperson: Thulani Ngoako Taueatsoala (192 votes)
- Regional Secretary: Rufus Mahoro (194 votes)
- Deputy Regional Secretary: Andries Lekalakala (187 votes)
- Treasurer: Elsie Ndhlovu (189 votes)
“Congratulations to the New Leadership,” the ANC said in a terse statement released on Monday, 1 September 2025.
“We wish them success in their new roles and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in the region.”
Before the elections, Electoral Committee Chairperson Simon Mathe had dissolved the Regional Task Team.
The announcement of branch nominations and the nomination process at the ANC’s 10th Regional Conference in Waterberg was live-streamed on the ANC Waterberg Region’s Facebook page.
