WINNERS: Fifteen lucky winners drove away in brand new OMODA C7s in partnership with Switch Energy Drink

Johannesburg – Switch Energy Drink and OMODA South Africa have concluded their most talked-about consumer campaign by handing over the final 15 brand-new OMODA C7 vehicles to lucky winners at a special event held at Switch’s head office.

The “Switch Up Your Life” competition, which ran from September 2025 to January 2026, turned every can of Switch into a shot to win one of 20 OMODA C7s alongside a prize pool of R20-million.

Commenting on the handover on Friday, 20 February 2026, Zhuraan Glade, Head of Marketing at Switch Energy Drink, said: “Watching these final 15 winners drive off in their OMODA C7s and hearing how it’s unlocking their freedom is the reason why we run campaigns like this.

“Our customers are the heartbeat of the brand, and partnering with OMODA lets us deliver something meaningful.”

For many of the OMODA vehicle winners, the impact extends far beyond the prize itself.

Christine Warden from Kempton Park captured the sentiment when reflecting on how the prize will be reshaping her daily life.

“Winning the car is about so much more than just the vehicle itself,” the 30-year-old winner said.

“It brings a huge sense of financial relief knowing we no longer have to worry about monthly car instalments.

“As parents to a two-year-old, we want to make sure we can give our daughter the very best.

“It gives us the chance to plan for and invest in her future with greater confidence.”

Will Mxabanisi, a 22-year-old student from Kuilsrivier, said: “As a student and intern, I have been carefully planning for my future, and my hope is to start a business of my own.

“Having the keys to a car brings that dream within reach and marks a meaningful step in the right direction.”

Each vehicle was presented in an emotional, one-on-one moment, captured for a short cinematic documentary that dives into the real stories behind the wins.

The film will roll out across Switch and OMODA’s digital channels as a lasting tribute to the 20 people whose everyday choices led to life-changing rewards.

Lungelo Zwane, Brand Manager at OMODA, said the collaboration demonstrated the power of two brands coming together with a shared purpose.

“Our partnership with Switch is about the real impact and difference we can make in people’s lives by giving them something of true value,” Zwane stated.

“Seeing these winners step into that next chapter reinforces what happens when two brands align with purpose and a common goal – to make a difference.”

The campaign reached 329 million people through radio, digital, and out-of-home media, 6.9M influencer impressions, and an overall engagement rate of 4.8% across social channels.

With the final keys handed over, “Switch Up Your Life” has proven that brands can influence and create meaningful impact.
