Modjadjiskloof – The Office of Queen Masalanabo Modjadji VII has distanced Her Majesty from false claims circulating on social media that she has endorsed anti-immigrant marches planned for tomorrow.
The press release made available to The Bulrushes on Monday, 29 June 2026, highlights the existence of a Facebook account styled as the “Rain Queen Modjadji Foundation,” which has been publishing content purporting to represent Her Majesty.
The Queen’s office categorically denies any connection to this page, stressing that she has “no knowledge of, association with, or authority over” it.
Furthermore, the statement confirms that Her Majesty does not currently operate any foundation in her name.
According to the Royal Court, all content published on the page is “unauthorised, misleading, and must be rejected as false.”
The Queen’s name, image, title, and office, the statement adds, must not be used without proper authority.
In particular, the Queen has not endorsed any march, event, organisation, campaign, or public statement allegedly linked to the page.
While affirming her respect for the constitutional right of citizens to assemble peacefully and raise legitimate concerns within the law, Her Majesty made clear that she and her office distance themselves from any violence, intimidation, destruction of property, or loss of innocent lives that may arise from protests — including those connected to illegal immigration.
The statement underscores Her Majesty’s commitment to protecting businesses, trading activities, and employment opportunities designated for South African citizens and local communities.
It calls for government to strengthen lawful enforcement and regulatory systems to ensure towns and villages remain “orderly, safe, economically fair, and protective of the poor and vulnerable, while also upholding the dignity and rights of all persons within the Republic.”
Her Majesty expressed encouragement at ongoing government efforts under the leadership of President Cyril Ramaphosa to improve enforcement and address public concerns.
She further urged authorities to expand enforcement capacity by creating opportunities for young people and graduates to participate in compliance and monitoring work, thereby contributing to governance and reducing youth unemployment.
The Balobedu Royal Executive Committee concluded the statement by reiterating that “any claims of endorsement” by the Queen for planned anti-immigrant marches are false and misleading.
