Johannesburg – The price of petrol, diesel, paraffin and LP Gas is going up from Wednesday, 2 September 2026.
The Department of Mineral And Petroleum Resources announced the fuel hikes on Monday, 31 August 2026.
The department said both grades of petrol are set to rise by R1.34 per litre, while diesel will increase by between R2.93 and R3.14 per litre.
Based on current and international factors, the department said the fuel prices will be adjusted as follows:
