Johannesburg – This summer, on its long-haul flights in the Business and Premium cabins to and from South Africa, Air France is introducing a new range of comfort kits, carefully designed to meet the needs of every passenger.

Refined, elegant and practical, they contain a selection of items designed to help passengers relax and enjoy their flight.

New chic & modern kits in Business A new comfort kit will be available in Business Class, with two models which are replaced every six months.

Two versions have been designed: a light grey version for summer 2026 and a navy blue version for winter 2026–2027.

Its elegant design showcases a contemporary pattern made from over 90% recycled material.

The kit is also adorned with the winged seahorse, the airline’s emblem.

To complement this kit, Air France’s longstanding partner Clarins has selected two miniature skincare products containing 96% naturally derived ingredients.

Designed to provide comfort and well-being during the flight, they complement the Clarins treatment areas in a selection of the airline’s lounges: a Beauty Flash Balm and a Moisturising and Quenching Matte Gel.

The kit also includes earplugs, a night mask made from recycled materials, a bamboo toothbrush, a tube of organic toothpaste made in France, and a pair of socks made from recycled materials.

All the essentials in Premium Air France will also be updating the comfort kit in the Premium cabin.

Available in two versions, replaced every six months, this elegant pouch features felt detailing and is made from fully recycled materials.

It comes in two colour combinations: a navy blue version with a horizon blue flap, and a horizon blue version with a navy blue flap.

Each model features the Air France emblem on its flap.

Each kit contains all the essentials for a comfortable flight, including earplugs, a bamboo toothbrush with organic toothpaste made in France, a pair of socks made from recycled materials, and a night mask.

Beyond their role during the flight, the kits are designed with a second life in mind, giving passengers the opportunity to reuse the pouch and its contents long after they have reached their destination.

“Small things can make a surprisingly big difference, particularly when you find yourself in an unexpected situation,” says Wilson Tauro, Country Manager Southern Africa at Air France-KLM.

“Having something as simple as a toothbrush and toothpaste can bring a sense of comfort and normality when you need it most.

“We like the idea that these essentials can continue to be useful beyond the flight, whether they are kept for future travel or find a new purpose when someone else needs them.

“It is a simple example of how thoughtful design and circularity can extend the value of an amenity kit well beyond the journey itself.”

With a combination of practical essentials, considered design and recycled materials, the new collection reflects Air France’s approach to creating a more thoughtful and comfortable travel experience, from take-off to arrival and beyond.
