Durban – A man in his 30s has died in a single car crash along the M13, Pinetown Bound before Gillits offramp, west of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

ALS Paramedics spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson, said the car crash occurred just before 8 pm on Friday, 20 February 2026.

“Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a single vehicle had somehow lost control and rolled numerous times, coming to rest on its roof,” Jamieson said.

“Paramedics assessed the scene and found that there were four occupants in the vehicle at the time of the incident.

“One of the men, believed to be in his 30s, was found to have sustained major injuries, and unfortunately, there was nothing paramedics could do for him, and he was declared deceased on the scene.”

The three other occupants sustained minor injuries, Jamieson said.

“At this stage, the events leading up to the crash are unknown; however, SAPS and Metro Police were in attendance and will be investigating further,” he said.
