Beijing- The all-new OMODA C4 has made its global debut at the Beijing International Auto Show, introducing a new entrant to the brand’s growing crossover lineup.

Revealed to international media, the C4 builds on OMODA’s focus on design, technology, and a stronger connection with younger, more style-conscious drivers.

The C4 is more closely aligned with what customers expect from the brand, reflecting a more collaborative approach to how new models are shaped.

At the centre of the C4 is the brand’s Cyber Mecha design approach, combining futuristic styling with functional detail.

The result is a crossover with a more assertive stance and a clearly defined visual identity.

That design direction is carried through in the finer details, where lighting and surface treatment play a more deliberate role in shaping the vehicle’s identity.

The front lighting signature uses sharp, high-contrast elements to create a distinctive look, while the sculpted bodywork introduces stronger lines and angular forms that add depth and visual movement.

From the front lighting signature to the sculpted side profile and rear design, the C4 has been designed to stand out without compromising everyday usability.

It’s an approach that recognises how many buyers now see their vehicle as an extension of their personal identity.

“Cross-border design isn’t just about combining styles,” commented Shannon Gahagan, National Brand and Marketing Manager for OMODA & JAECOO South Africa.

“It pushes us to rethink established norms and approach design more progressively.”

Inside, the focus shifts to connectivity and ease of use.

A next-generation intelligent cockpit, along with advanced driver-assistance systems, is designed to make daily driving more intuitive and more connected.

The C4 builds on this with a more advanced integration of hardware and software, delivering an experience that moves beyond simple usability towards something more responsive and intuitive.

Equipped with 16 advanced driver-assistance features, the system is designed to simplify both driving and parking, lowering the barrier to entry for less experienced drivers while improving overall safety and convenience.

A new AI-powered voice assistant, built on a large language model, is also set to be introduced.

Designed to evolve, it is expected to support more personalised interactions, including features such as mood-based music recommendations and more adaptive responses to user input.

The aim is to create a more natural connection between driver and vehicle, where the system can respond to individual preferences in a more meaningful way.

This is supported by a range of connected features that align with modern, always-on lifestyles.

A 13.2-inch high-definition central display anchors the cabin, while a 540-degree panoramic camera system enhances visibility in tighter environments.

Practical additions such as 50W wireless charging further reinforce the focus on convenience, ensuring the C4 meets the expectations of a younger, tech-focused audience.

The interior itself reflects the aesthetic of the exterior, with a more immersive, cockpit-style layout that places the driver at the centre of the experience.

A wraparound design and layered finishes create a sense of structure and focus while maintaining the comfort and practicality expected of a daily-use crossover.

The C4 will be offered with both internal combustion and hybrid powertrains, giving customers flexibility as the market continues to move towards more efficient mobility solutions.

South Africa remains an important market for the brand’s global expansion.

The OMODA C4 is expected to arrive locally in the second half of 2026, where it will join the brand’s expanding SUV lineup.

“The C4 adds something new to our range,” said Hans Greyling, General Manager of OMODA & JAECOO South Africa.

“It brings together the kind of design and technology our customers are looking for, while still delivering the value they’ve come to expect from the brand.”
