Kwaggafontein – All eyes will be on the Mkobola Magistrate’s Court in Kwaggafontein, Mpumalanga, today, where taxi boss Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni and his three co-accused will make another bid for bail.

The four accused, Sibanyoni, Mvimbi Masilela, Philemon Msiza, and Bafana “King of Sky” Sindane, were arrested on suspicion of extortion.

Allegations are that the accused extorted huge sums of money from a businessman as “protection fees”.

At his last appearance on Friday, 15 May 2026, prominent 60-year-old businessman Sibanyoni pleaded for bail, citing his family responsibilities.

He told the court that he has three wives and 14 children who depend on him.

Today, Mpumalanga’s rich and famous will be back in the dock in a bid to be freed from custody.
