Suspended Manchester City Football Club defender Benjamin Mendy on Monday appeared at the Chester Crown Court, Cheshire UK, where he denied nine sexual offences against six women.
Mendi pleaded not guilty to seven counts of rape, one count of sexual assault and one count of attempted rape.
All the offences relating to the six complaints allegedly took place at 27-year-old Mendi’s home address between October 2018 and August 2021.
Mendi’s co-accused 40-year-old Louis Saha Matturie has also pleaded not guilty to the offences.
The pair, who are out on bail, are scheduled to go on trial later this year in July.
Mendi appeared in court a day after his team won the English Premier League with an incredible 3-2 come-from-behind win against Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium.
