If there is one player Coach Pitso Mosimane will be warning his Al Ahly side to pay attention to in the CAF Champions League Final – it is Kaizer Chiefs mercurial forward Khama Billiat.
The final is set for 17 July at the Stade Mohammed in Casablanca, Morocco.
The Egyptians are the defending champions, but Chiefs present a new challenge.
With news from the AmaKhosi camp that Zimbabwe superstar Billiat has recovered from injury and is in full training, Mosimane must be wary of his former player.
After all, he once confessed he still watches Billiat “week in and week out”.
Mosimane is on record as saying when he was coaching Sundowns in South Africa Billiat made a huge impact.
“He is totally different. It’s unbelievable – every week I am watching [him],” Mosimane told a radio station when asked to comment about Billiat.
The only blight on Billiat’s career has been that he is injury-prone and tends to spend a lot of time away from the game.
Billiat is a previous winner of the CAF Champions League with Sundowns.
He could add a different dimension to the South African Glamour Boys’ attack.
