Nine people were hurt Saturday afternoon in a three-car collision along Dawncliffe Road under the M13 flyover bridge, in the Westville area, Durban.
Rescue workers had to use the Jaws of Life to free one of the people trapped in a car wreck.
KZN VIP Paramedics said they attended to the injured on the scene.
“One person, a female passenger had sustained serious injuries and was severely entrapped in the wreckage. Advanced Life Support paramedics worked to stabilise her while rescuers cut the lady free using the Jaws of Life,” said a paramedic.
“The injuries for the others varied from slight to moderate.”
Police are investigating.
