Kaizer Chiefs on Friday promised fans that they are “going for Gold” when they face Egypt’s al Ahly in the 2020-21 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League final on Saturday night at Complexe Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco.

The Phfeni Glamour Boys are planning an upset win over the defending champions Al Ahly, who are coached by South African Pitso Mosimane.

Mosimane knows the threat the Glamour Boys pose from his days at Mamelodi Sundowns.

Chiefs arrived in Casablanca Thursday with a full squad and a team of coaches that include, Arthur Zwane, Dillon Sheppard, Stuart Baxter, and  Molefi Ntseki.

With no journalists allowed on the trip, the Phfeni Glamour Boys have kept fans up to date on social media.

On Friday the popular Soweto football club posted pictures of a training session ahead of tomorrow’s big game under the heading “Going for gold”.

Al Ahly have won the coveted Champions League nine times, with one successful defence of the Cup in 2013 when they defeated Orlando Pirates 3-1 on aggregate.

This time around, the final is single-legged.

Hopeful fans in South Africa and the rest of the world are posting well wishes for Amakhosi on social media.
